This paper presents a new anti-jamming tactical communication system based on the mobile ad hoc network (MANET), which can construct a mobile communication network rapidly without any existing network infrastructure. The basic unit of the system uses the new radio station developed by ourselves. It takes full advantage of direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) technology and spreading code assignment technology and adopts smart antenna technology, etc. The system possesses excellent abilities of anti-destroy, self-recover, and anti-jamming. There must be a wide development prospect of application in both military and civilian communications. This paper emphasizes on the architecture of the new anti-jamming tactical communication system. Based on the spreading code assignment and the logical multi-channel, a new channel access protocol - Spread Spectrum Multi-channel MAC with Smart Antenna protocol is proposed, which divides Control channel and Data channel by frequency. Its performance is mathematically analyzed and some valuable conclusion is reached. In addition, this paper analyses the Quality of Service support and puts forward a "Top-Down" QoS Support.
