As for high-energy linear induction accelerator, miniaturizing pulse-forming line (PFL) is helpful to minify the size of the massive pulsed power system. At the same time, wealth and space could be economized. To study the production of long pulse can promote the development of the pulsed power technology. This paper described two experiments. In the first Experiment, the pulsed breakdown of the pressured water has been investigated. Breakdown stress is significantly enhanced when a hydrostatic pressure is applied to the water dielectrics. When the pressure of water changed from O.lMpa to 0.7Mpa, breakdown stress of water changed from 38MV/m to 70MV/m. Thus by using pressured water as dielectrics, the energy density of the energy system could be enhanced notablely and the PFL could be miniaturized too. In the second experiment, by introducing helical Blumlein line as PFL, we can obtain a square pulse with 260ns pulse duration. But if we using the same size Blumlein line as PFL, we can only get a square pulse with 31ns pulse duration. This experiment results show that replacing the intermediate conductor of Blumlein line by helical conductor can get long pulse.
