Road Construction And Landscape Coordination

Highway landscape and road environment has been studied in order to create a safer and more comfortable road condition and environment for drivers and passengers, so that they will have a good time when they drive, and less road accidents may be caused. This paper systematically works over the theories of highway aesthetics design in China based on the experiences and achievements on this problem both at home and abroad. In addition, this paper studies highway planting and beautification methods, and tries to develop highway landscape emulators through computer. Two landscape evaluation methods have been recommended in the paper for highway engineers. At last, the writer of this paper hopes to invoke the aesthetic feeling and environmental protection consciousness of highway workers in China by what he say in this paper, so that more beautiful and comfortable highway will be built without damaging nature landscape and environment along the road corridor.
