Prairie highway due to its social and economic development level, topography, road shape and landscape type and other reasons, resulting in the prevalence of straight line length, vertical slope is small, the road landscape is single, through the village less, less traffic flow. These problems directly reflect the road traffic system in people-car-road,the lack of information to stimulate people, low information, easy to make the driver have mental fatigue, inadvertently improve the speed, coupled with driving fatigue caused by driver alertness decline, lower judgment, increased risk of traffic, threatening traffic safety.Research shows,up to 90%of the accidents is believed to be related to the driver,80%the traffic information comes from driver's vision,so what is particularly important is whether some significant information can be captured by drivers' eyes, which is necessary to define the scope of infonnation that the driver can sense. It is possible to determine the visual area of the driver to obtain valid information,to lay the foundation for determining the effective landscape space range which affects the driver's field of view information,so as to improve the safety of the traffic, and then from the driver's point of view to prevent the occurrence of traffic accidents.Driving simulator is used to study the range of the driver's vision, and data in stationary state are collected,by comparing with dynamic state at different speed, the regression analysis is also conducted to obtain the following conclusions:(1)In stationary state, the driver's horizontal vision search range is 16°?19°,effective at 11°?14°,the average difference is about 5°.(2)In stationary state, the driver's vertical vision search range is 15°?17°,effective at 11°?13°,the average difference is about 4°.(3)At the speed of 60 km/h,80 km/h and 100 km/h and 120 km/h,the driver horizontal vision search range is 14.9°,12.7°,10.8°and 9.2°respectively.effective at 10°,8°,6.4°and 5.1°;Driver's vertical dynamic vision search range is 14.6°,13,25°,11.65°and 13.25°respectively,effective at 10.95°,10.15°,8.95°and 7.55°.(4)The dynamic visual search range and the effective search range are both closely related to the speed. With the speed increasing, the two search range decreases, but the results show that the changing rate of the horizontal vision search range and the effective one is gradually reduced with the speed, while the vertical vision search range and the effective one is increased.
