Yemen Asphalt Mixture Ratio Design

Research on asphalt mixtures design has great importance in soloing pavement distress problems. This paper reports the performance of different types of asphalt mixtures and the improvement made by asphalt modification, based on laboratory study. Rutting, thermal cracking and moisture effects are three major problems discussed. In this paper, attempts have been made to introduce the climatic confliction of Yemen and on the basis of experimental results, to recommend the suitable asphalt mixtures for different regions.
