The field oriented control (FOC) method for speed close-loop control of AC drives has been analyzed and discussed in this paper. Choosing a d-q reference frame rotating synchronously with the rotor flux space vector, the J-axis of this reference frame is aligned with the rotor flux space vector, and the af-component of the stator current is separated from the q-component of the stator current. So the flux controlled by the d-component is separated from the torque controlled by the q-component. In order to identify the flux of rotor, current method is advanced. And also Space Vector Pulse Width Module method is adopted to generate a space voltage vector. The experimental implementation using a Digital Signal Processor TMS320LF2407 development system present results that we obtained speed close-loop and current close-loop AC motor control. The main contents of this paper are as follows:1. Analyzed the model of AC motion, have the formula of FOC .2. Had a deeply research in vector control method.3. Grasped the main functions of variable speed system, and also designed a simple system.4. Through the SVPWM method, received a perfect VSI wave. 5. Had some experiments, achieved the goal of this paper.
