AC Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(PMSM) has been used as driving equipment in every walk of life like industry, agriculture, aerospace and etc. PMSM has many advantages like simple structure, small size, light weight, low loss, high efficiency, and high power factor. And AC PMSM’s technology research has become an important research area in every walk of life. So this article will focus on the analysis of PMSM’s control theory and propose a simplified SVPWM algorithm which can be realized by software programming and achieve high performance’s controlling of AC PMSM.Firstly, it will introduce the background and significance of this research and the current status of PMSM’s related research fields, and briefly describe the contents of this article organized.Secondly, it will research PMSM mathematical model commonly used in three coordinate system(the three-phase stationary coordinate system, two-phase stationary coordinate system and the two-phase synchronous rotating coordinate system), and gives conversion formulas of three coordinate systems’ transform between each other. And it will provide the necessary theoretical basis for later software and hardware design.Thirdly, based on previous theoretical analysis and research, it will take STM32F407 as the core controller, and finish the whole control system’s hardware and software design. The hardware design mainly includes driving power module, IPM, signal collection module, and control module. The software’s main functions are collection of various signals like DC voltage, phase current, motor’s rotator position, motor’s speed, and design speed loop control and motor’s current loop control, and SVPWM algorithm, and field oriented control(FOC).Finally, it did a whole test to the control system and measured the SVPWM waveforms in the six space sectors and it fully verified the feasibility of simplified SVPWM algorithm. And also measured the phase current waveforms when the motor ran at rated speed and 1/2 rated speed.
