This paper is on the research of a new multifunctional decoy composition, which can counterwork the weapons guided by infrared and radar (electromagnetic). The research on the preparation of the complex decoy is detailed below. Firstly, the complex decoy is prepared by the means of electroless chemical silver plating and copper plating on the surface of nitrocellulose substrate. The technological steps and conditions of chemical silver plating and copper plating are researched systematically. The effect factors that can affect the conductivity of the plating layer are all analyzed specially. The thickness of the silver plating layer is in the range of 0.2 m~0.5 m . Through DTA, it is proved that the metal plating layer is compatible with the substrate very well. The research on the testing of the complex decoy's properties is detailed below. Through measuring the value of infrared radiation when the complex decoy is burning, it is concluded that the complex decoy's energy of infrared radiation is much more than the substrate's. Through researching the performance of microwave radar's transmission and refection within the band of 3mm and 8mm, it is proved that the interference with radar is feasible.
