| Geocell is a new geosynthetics. It is efficacious for reinforcing cohesionless wind-drift sand. Based on indoors simulating experiments, tests on trial road at Yun(Lin) - Jing(Bian) Desert Expressway in Maowusu Desert , analysis with MSC.NASTRAN finite element analysis program, and relevant data, the paper presents a comprehensive study on the Geocell reinforced wind-drift sand, including reinforcement effect, mechanical character, intensity mechanism, constructional techniques, as well as pavement structure. One of the important factor of pavement design-resilient modules of Geocell reinforced wind-drift sand was obtained by testing and analyzing. Finally, some new test methods for the sand compactness are studied for the effecting measurement at different moisture contents. |
