| Lightweight aggregate concrete (LAC) is one of concrete that uses artificial or natural lightweight aggregate instead of normal aggregate. Compared with normal concrete, lightweight aggregate is provided with virtues: lightweight and high strength, heat insulation and preservation, fire-resistant, aseismatic, durability, general economical and technical effect. At the same time, large of the industrial solid waste such ad fly ash and silica fume, is utilized in the property of the LAC and the manufacture of the lightweight aggregate. It is helpful in comprehensive utilization of resource and environment protection. The LAC has the greatness superiority in the engineering applications as large span bridge and high building and oceanic engineer. The lightweight aggregate concrete is a branch of modern concrete which will be developed in the future.The author of this article used orthogonal test design, arranged the test scheme scientifically, selected material carefully, at last yielded an high strength lightweight aggregate concrete material (HSLACM), whose compressive strength exceeded 50 MPa and quality under 1950kg/m3, mainly by using 42.5 Ordinary Portland Cement, expanded fly ash aggregate, silica fume, superplasticizers and so on.This article states the technical way to produce high strength lightweight aggregate material, specifies the performance of composing materials in detail and their influence upon high strength lightweight aggregate material. According to analyzing experiment data and the comprehensive-equilibration theory, the most suitable mix design was gained, and an experience expression about material performance and cement /water ratio was found. At the same time, the performance of LAC is analyzed by less data and neural networks. It shows that the artificial neural network can be used as a new approach to predict the performance of SCC and it will be helpful in proportioning the SCC mixtures in the near future. |
