At the development of high altitude and high speed for aircraft,the aircraft's steady-state character is not enough ,so one control system is needed to in-crease the aircraft's stabiling to meet the needed character . But another question the control system brings is that the aircraft manipulation character does not meet the requirements .The aircraft needs one more control systems to make the manipulate character satisfy the character requirements.Both control systems are called control and augmentation systems. Quantitative feedback theory (QFT) is developed much quickly in these years.There are many advantages in using it to design aircraft control systems. In this thesis,it is used to design the control system of short period of the aircraft longitudinal motion. And the thesis gives the details of design process and analyzes the new aircraft's character and gives simulink results to check the designs right or not. The aircraft's longitudinal motion short period poles and long period zeros in right plane may make the aircraft control system be not got by only using QFT .So pole and zero assignment by state feedback is needed to change this circumstances and then QFT is used to get the control system.Simulink results are given to prove at the system meets the requirements..
