In this paper, unstructured grids and numerical simulation of periodic flow on it are studied and the following results are obtained:1. The advancing-front method is used to generate two-dimensional unstructured grids of high quality. The finite volume method based on unstructured grids is applied to solve two-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations. Special method of momentum difference is adopted to decide the interface velocity of flow in solving momentum equations. The computational of lid-driven cavity flow based on the present algorithm agreed with the benchmark solution very well.2. The velocity of outflow on unstructured grids is established on the computational of the ringent system, in which, local mass conservation is applied to work out radial velocity and Neumann condition is applied to tangential velocity. The fluid flow outside tube bundles is studied numerically in this paper using the laminar model by the method.3. The new replacement method of periodic boundary conditions on unstructured grids is advanced to computing fluid flow in periodically repeating geometries. The average pressure gradient in a period can not be introduced to the computation and the computation is simplified to a certain extent. The methods are demonstrated by computation of a flow through a tube bundle.
