Based on analyzing the lower power coefficient for the thyristor converter with phase-delay control,a thyristor converter with phase-lead control is constructed by introducing a forced commutative unit that consists of three-phase balancing inductor and capacitors.The proposed converter can output both the useful power and virtual power according to the compensatory requirement.As a result ,the power coefficient of the electric power system is improved,and the energy can be saved.Taking advantage of power function and rapidity of DSP, the controller constitutes a powerful thyristor converter with phase-lead control based on TMS320F240.The paper discusses the theory of the phase-lead control and its load characteristic.The article focuses on the design of intelligent controller.The system uses Fuzzy self-adaptive PID algorithm to implement intelligent control.The result of testing indicates that the design method can be used effectually to the improve the power coefficient of the electric power system .So it can be widely used.
