The design of the working mechanism of the scraper has experienced a far-flung process from "manual computation" to "electronic compution". At the same time,during the course of optimal design at present,with reference to the ascertain of variables, the target function and the restricted conditions,and the selection of the optimal method,they all have the characteristics of complecity and variety. The optimal result has prodigious difference. Due to its own characteristic, the design of the working mechanism of the scraper is an eternal task. In this article, the research on a typical reversal six-bar mechanism has been made, and the fire-new and integrated locomotor mathematic modeling of the working mechanism and mathematic modeling of optimal design has been established; Genetic Algorithm has also been adopted to optimal design, so the optimal result has been improved from overall point; at last a simulating software of the motion has been programmed based on visual technology, which can simulate the motion of the the working mechanism and evalute the optimal result. The details include the following several aspects.l.The rule of the motion of the machine and the structural characteristics have been analysed. An integrated,general and fire-new mathematic model of the working mechanism of the scraper has been established by summarizing formers' experiences. A clear legible andcanonical definition has also been given to the parameters.2. In order to control the size and predigest optimal algorithm, the woking mechanism has been divided into two portions:the machine of reversal six-bar and the machine of lifting and rising ,and the optimal mathematic models for these two machines have been established. At the same time, a difficult problem about the ascertain of the limited working conditions has been solved by means of one-dimensional optimation algorithm.3. Genetic Algorithm has been adopted to optimal design, and overall project to solute problems has been found out. The optimal result has been improved.4.The mathematic model of the dynamic simulation of the working mechanism has been established, and a simulating software for all kinds of scrapers has been developed by using a visual platform of Visual C++ 6.0, which can simulate the working conditions of the scraper roundly and at real time and has functions for evaluation.5.In order to demostrate the correctness of the mathematic model, the rationality of the methods and the reliability of the simulation, the information of the varieties of the corner of the bucket has been collected during the course of the local experimentation. Then the experimental data has been dealt with. The omnidirectional comparasion has been made between the experimental data and the simulating data.
