The task is to develop and manufacture the Digital Storgage Oscilloscope, which bandwidth is 100MHz. According the principle of random sampling, we have realized to measure high frequency repeated signal by lower frequency A/D converter and logic controller. At the same time, this item settles a base for developing the real time sampling oscillograph which bandwidth is 100MHz. So it has a wide application foreground.Firstly, this paper focuse on the base of principle and flow of work about DSO, particularly illuminates the function of vertical circuits, trigger circuits and circuits to measue time, etc, shows one detailed design scheme. In the design of analogue circuit, the vertical circuit, trigger circuit and circuit to measure time is the core of design, effects on the performance of DSO; the others is secondary control circuit. Then, to the software correlating with this part of circuit, this paper provides their design philosophy and rough algorithm. With respect to the problems in debugging and testing process, author presents also some explanations. Thirdly, the task adopts DSP control chip, so author introduces the programme of DSP, particularly describe the Bootloader system of DSP. In this design, our software is partitioned logically into the two portions: the low drivers and the upper user-interface programmes. The low drivers are between the hardware and the upper user-interface programmes, and they are Machine-Oriented, supply a simple interface to the upper programmes. The upper programmes are User-Oriented, supply a convenient access to the users which manipulate the DSO.
