Continuous Rigid Frame Bridge With High Piers Health Monitoring Points Optimization Study

The thesis studies and analyzes the necessity and the urgency to the health monitoring of bridge structures, a brief summarizing of the achievement of bridge health monitoring in recent years are introduced. This paper presents the definition of bridge health monitoring and its components, the contents and rules of bridge health monitoring are expatiated, and the difficulties of bridge health monitoring are analysed. At last it pointed out the development tendency of the bridge health monitoring.Optimal sensor placement is one of the difficulties and issues of bridge health monitoring. This paper presents the definition of sensor technology, the difficulties of sensor technology and maths depiction optimal sensor placement he contents and rules of optimal sensor placement and research. On the base of the systematic investigation of present application of the optimal sensor placement, and the future trend of the optimal sensor placemen is discussed as well.Combination continuous rigid frame bridge with high pier, take advantage of the principle of optimal sensor placement, this paper establishes a function to find the max element from matrix of mode assurance criterion. In order to take into account the result of optimal sensor placemen and the economy optimal sensor placement, a methodology is provided for optimally locating for health monitoring of bridges. The program starts with a small intuition set of measure point. Finally by using the sensitivity analysis, a more suitable set of sensor location can be determined for the monitoring of the critical parts of the bridge.
