With the continuous progress of China’s sustained and rapid economic growth and engineering, in vigorously promoting western development projects, highway is at an unprecedented rate in the western mountainous areas extending highway bridge as the preferred pre-stress concrete continuous rigid frame bridge has also been a rapid development. Meanwhile, faced with mountainous areas of special topography, geological conditions, continuous rigid frame bridge in many sections of the process requires the use of ultra-high mound erected. As the ultra-high pier continuous rigid frame bridge structure construction requires a certain degree of particularity with targeted, its structure also needs to be constructed technical design. To this end, for ultra-high pier continuous rigid frame bridge structure design and long-term effects study has some practical significance. In order to research on the ultra-high pier continuous rigid frame bridge structure design and long-term effects, analyzed continuous rigid frame bridge piers constructed in the form and methods section of the form, using comparative analysis and ANSYS finite element modeling, conducted a comparative analysis of high pier under different conditions’ elastic stability and the number of projects with the maximum cantilever stage static wind loads. Meanwhile, relying Hezhang Bridge, through Midas/Civil finite element model, discussed the continuous rigid frame concrete shrinkage and creep under the long-term effects of prestressed losses, the main beam deformation. Studies have shown that:1) When the pier at the height of150m or less, combined with dual thin-walled pier or piers either economically or wind stability is reasonable when the pier when the height150m~175m, should adopt modular pier; When the pier when height of195m, single pier constructed in the form of a clear technological advantage, not only a good stability and a minimum amount of engineering.2) Due to a large number of high-strength concrete continuous rigid frame bridge construction, especially in the main load-bearing structure of the bridge, considering the loss of prestress high strength concrete shrinkage and creep caused by too large.3)Loss of prestressing tendons in prestressed concrete density factor has a significant impact on the vertical deflection of the main beam.
