In this dissertation the application of expert system technique on solid rocket motors is studied. The main contributions are included as follows: the first, expert system technique is introduced into solid rocket motors and the overall structure of OOESSRM (Objected-Oriented Expert System for Solid Rocker Motors), which is based on objected-oriented knowledge base. The second, object-oriented knowledge representation method on frame and rule is proposed by introducing the objected-oriented method into knowledge representation. This representation method can present sufficiently the descriptive knowledge and the heuristic knowledge. The third, the large amount of knowledge in solid rocket motors is compiled into data-base, and is useful for those beginners. The forth, a frame-guided semiautomatic knowledge Acquisition tool, which is aimed at knowledge experts, knowledge management system, and ordinary users, is developed. The fifth, the programming and debugging of inner ballistic trajectory performance analyses module of OOESSRM is accomplished. After the overall structure of OOESSRM, knowledge acquisition system, and knowledge management system are built, reason-control system and performance analyses modules are accomplished. This preliminary frame lays foundations for further complete of OOESSRM.
