The recording equipment designed in the dissertation is used to detect animal activity. The purpose of it is to test the effect of a new medicine and get a good ready for clinic experiment. After analyzing the disadvantages of parallel products, we employ the methods in embedded system design and develop a multi-function, small and pocked recoding equipment. It has huge memory capability, many recoding channels and fast communication rate. It also provide some new function, such as interface for multipoint communication,visual communications software. In addition, it can inspect the fault caused by supply voltage lose.For hardware design, we devise the whole system into many sub-module and use many multi-function external chips to implement the design of each sub-module. Based on the design of the recoding equipment, we summarize the universal design rules in most system which use the microcontroller to control system operation. The dissertation emphasized on the design of system software. Following analyzing the shortage of the foreground and background system, we write a non-preemptive multi-task real time operation system and use it implement the design of system software in recoding equipment. Also, we program communications software used in the computer.
