Today the fast development of the democratic civilization industry in China set the stage for more improvement and huge market for the elevator industry. While our elevator utilization rate is currently NO.1 in the world, our technology and market share remains lagged behind the world .To become more competitive, improved system control technology and lowered cost is needed. The goal of this thesis is to develop a new elevator control system, based on the integrated control module, lowered cost, and field bus communication technology .This will replace the currently employed PLC control protocol and instead employ a CPU-based embedded system and simulation system at the chip level, and hence enhance the market competitiveness. This will also benefit the end users of automatic control systems. The methodology used in this thesis is to regard the elevator system as an embedded control system, based on the rarely used CPU and simulation system .Hardware wise, the peripherals are controlled by the core and I/O. Software wise, a task allocation algorithm is developed based on the elevator control flow and embedded system technology. Three control system are developed based on task allocation and central/scattered control systems. The communication between modules will employ CAN bus control instead of the point-to-point control protocol. This will change the elevator control system into an integrated one, to meet the needs for scattered, networked and intellectually controlled system.Up to today, the development and test stages are almost through. The system is finished with the various tests in commercial elevator companies and now enters the stage for trial period. This system will greatly enhance the market competitiveness by lowering the cost for hardware and development. The concept also brings a better alternative for the future embedded system. Additional, the central field bus technology further lowers cost, enhances the control productivity and secures the stable operation of the elevator system.
