Ash Slag In Road Base Applications

With the reference to slag research status quo inside and outside country, this paper mainly analyses the slag's performance in road conduction. Through the research of slag treatment technics, physical, mechanical and chemical characters , this paper discusses slag mechanical performance and stability in HanDan Steel Corporation when they are used in road construction . Compared with macadam performance, slag owns high strength and better combination with lime and fly-ash, so they can be used in road construction. Based on the theory of filling in about constitutes of slag, this paper researched a great deal of lime fly-ash stabilized aggregate mixture component analysis. Putting up a fine lime fly-ash stabilized aggregate make-ups proportion of mixture . In that the steel slag comprises the framework of mixture,lime and fly-ash fill in its interspace. This paper adopted SEM and XRD to analyse slag and mixture's microcosmic structures, using intensity and module to evaluate mixture's mechanical performance , researching the shrinkage , freezing stability and anti-brushing performance. Putting forward guidances and specifications for lime fly-ash stabilized aggregate mixture, systemically sovling slag utilization problem in road constructing. So the research not only provides guidances to Hebei Province slag utilization in road construction, but also can be used for reference to slag utilization in road construction in other provinces .
