Though the information of trace and gesture is recorded in optical image, we usually treat the target as a particle because of kinds of factors. So it is difficult to get tridimentional gestures .such as elevation, yaw roll shift from optical image. With the development of computer and image processing technology, now it is possible to get more information from optical image, to measure the tridimentional gesture of a target. First, the image is processed digitally, noise is excluded, the image is strengthened. Then with statistical classifying method, target and background can be separated, the axes of the target in the image can be gotten. Thus we get a plane pointing the flying target. The axes of the target can be educed by intersectant method, so the elevation, yaw of the target can be gotten. We also wrote experimental program to calculate tridimentional gesture parameters and evaluated that the precision of the method. The method of drawing spire line one the surface is discussed. In digital image, the shift of the target can be educed though the movement of spire line. We separated the marking ring from the background successfully, achieved the automatic processing of the shift. In this article, we also discuss the amount of calculation, the possibility of real time processing, pointing out that the real time processing can be achieved though special method. With existing optical equipment, the image is digitally processed completely and automatically. The efficiency and precision of optical equipment are improved. So the method has a broad application foreground in the development of optical equipment and in the data processing.
