The Electric Point Machine is an important one of railway electrical signal devices. Generally, it is used to throw the point and indicate the point's position. The portable Electric Point Machine Tester is a special instrument that is used to test the electric point machine in the field. It is the main application that is used to record the change of two parameters of the electric point machine, which is the throwing force and the electric machine's current, when the electric point machine is throwing the point.In the thesis, it is discussed particularly that the process designing the portable Electric Point Machine Tester based on μC/OS-Ⅱ. First, the tester's requirement of operating functions and precision is analyzed; it is discussed that the tester's design plan, the method used to partition the function module and the method used to keep the precision. Second, the tester's circuit is designed. Last, the tester's software is programmed and all of the tester's operating functions are come true. In the process of developing software, the real time operating system μC/OS-Ⅱ is used to ensure the real time feature, the scout task is designed to improve the stability and graphic user interface μC/GUI is used to fufill the display function. A Chinese input technique is designed based on μC/GUI.After testing, it is achieved that the tester's functions and precision which is required in design. The testing parameters' waveform recorded by tester is as same as the waveform recorded by oscilloscope.
