This paper mainly focuses on one electric load simulator, which uses permanent magnet DC motors as its actuators. It's used in the ground-based simulation systems for pilotless aircrafts, to provide dynamic pneumatic load for these aircrafts' servo rudders. As a new type of load simulator, it has similar functions as current electric-hydraulic load simulators, but it has better small signal response, more steadiness, less noise and less pollution. It's more fitful for lab applications. In this paper, the module of this system is established, the system's dynamics is studied, and the frequency response of the key blocks in the system module is tested through experiment methods. Base on the system module, the influence of the surplus torque is studied by way of simulation. and it's found that surplus torque affects the system greatly.Advanced forward feed compensation method is applied here to kill surplus torque. Simulation result shows that forward feed method is effective, but because of the high order differential in it's original form, forward feed can't be used directly. In this paper, forward path corrector is designed to make the generalized forward path similar to constant 1 in the sense of frequency response within the working frequency of the system, then, the forward feed method is modified to avoid high order differential components, that's the advanced forward method used here. Besides, a friction compensation method is established to decrease the influence of the friction that mainly existed in the motors. Base on these algorism components, the close-loop controller is designed, it and the other three components compose the complete controller. At the end of this paper. the test methods. test result and analysis result of the system performance test are provided. The test results show that the system's performance meets most requirements in the design index.
