Scroll compressors are regarded as model of miniature compressors for their compact structure, efficient, running smoothly, small vibration and low-noise, but the mechanical efficiency and volume efficiency are influenced by frictional loss and leakage loss seriously.The research purpose is to find out the principle for optimizing geometric parameter of scroll plate and to advance a new method of making designs for circumferential involute scroll plate of the scroll compressor with back pressure self-adjusting mechanism.By analyzing the relationship among the parameters and researching the influence of the geometric parameters to frictional loss power, draws some conclusions as follows:(1) Quantity of involute circle ,scroll thickness and scroll height is an independent, audio-visual geometric parameter and they are liable to be measured. They should be determined first to meet the needs of strength and rigidity.(2) When suck pressure, compression ratio, suck volume, number of compression chamber and radius have been determined, the increase of the scroll thickness can make the scroll height, toppling moment, frictional loss power and leakage loss power increasing quickly.(3) The scroll height has a range that can decrease frictional loss power and leakage loss power.At last, advanced a new method of making designs for circumferential involute scroll plate. The new method is also applicable for scroll compressor with other involute tooth.
