In this paper, virtual instrument technology and its application in the field of detection on AAG are discussed deeply and in detail. Virtual instrument is designed and developed. The main predominant idea of the system design is relying on the performance characters of the tested object; fully using of the well-rounded software and hardware products at home and abroad; and sticking to the design rules of popularization, modularization and standardization.Virtual instrument technology, the performance characters of AAG type 57 mm, and the application fault diagnosis are deeply studied, in the whole word; the following points have been finished:1) Developing history, prospect expectation, performance characters and application in the field of modern detection of virtual instrument are deeply analyzed and discussed. Based on this, actual steps and problems need to be solved in the realization of virtual instrument are totally summed up.2) According to the characters of virtual instrument, modern testing theory and systemic and all-sided analysis on the servo of AAG, general hardware project of virtual instrument is confirmed.3) Software of virtual instrument is designed according to the characters of hardware, under the environment of labview. The problem of communication between software and hardware is also solved.4) Regard the amplifier of AAG type 57mm as tested object, analyze and study its performance characters. And fault characters are deeply studied by the designed test platform.
