Cams especially plate cams are widely used in various mechines,particularly in automata.In mechanical design,if accurately expected motion is required,then cam is used.In this paper,the principle of ES and method of fuzzy mathematics are used to establish an applied ES of design of plate cam mechanism. The design and selection of follower's motion laws ,the selection of cam types,and the fuzzy evaluating and the fuzzy optimization of plate cam design are primarly realized.Design of follower's motion laws is foundation of cam design.The paper probes into follower's motion laws at large, collects and sorts out some common motion laws,develops common software of polynomial which can be added boundary condition at will, applys fuzzy evaluation to selection motion laws, designs and optimizes combinational motion laws by alternation between men and computer.Selection of cam types is a complicated process with overlapping levels and elements.In the system,fuzzy mathematics theory is adopted to quantitative analysis plate cam's multiple properties,and fuzzy evaluation models of selection of cam types is primarly established.Compared with formerly optimized method, the paper takes the fuzziness of restrictions into account and establishs fuzzy optimization models of plate cams.User can use the system to resolves common problem about plate cams. The modularization and object oriented design method are adopt to construct a friendly and conveniently system.The system establishs integrity database having strong extensibility and maintainability via Access.
