The standardized, modular, integrated, networked nature must be the latest development trend of today's testing and measurement system. In traditional measurement system, the architectures are overcomplicated, the functionalities are not opened, and the resources are not shared. Virtual instrumentation and networked measurement provide the best solutions to these problems above. So the networked platform based on virtual instrumentation is deeply researched for the vibration measurement and signal analysis in gearbox system.The vibration mechanism analysis and the influencing factor analysis lay the theoretical foundations for research on vibration performance and signal feature. Time domain, frequency domain, and time-frequency domain methods of vibration signal processing and analysis are discussed in detail. The wavelet analysis method and its applications in vibration signal processing and analysis, including denoising, filtering, singularity detection, feature extraction, signal identification, data compression, etc. are more deeply exposited.Test platform can greatly meet the needs of modularization and openness. The application modes of networked test are analyzed. The architectures of networked test platform are constructed. The PXI-based modular measurement platform and the integrated software platform are built.The key development technologies of platform are explored. The technologies, such as TCP/IP, DataSocket and ActiveX, are used to realize the networked applications of virtual instrumentation. The DLL technology is adopted to develop the reused, modular function libraries of digital signal processing and analysis. In data integration management, the test database management scheme with the ADO technology and the XML-based scheme for data sharing are given.
