The scroll compressor performs the continuous compressor process that includes the suction, compressor, exhaust. The realization of the periodical compressor function must rely on the close crescent-shaped pockets. The meshing of the scroll profile is achieved by the conjugacy profiles. Thus, the design and construction method of the scroll profile is the basis of the subsequent design work. The advanced development on the new kinds of scroll profile has become the research focus in the profile design. Recently, a new method is adopted using general conjugacy relations to define scroll geometry. By means of this new concept and the theory of plane curve, new kinds of single or combination profile have been developed to some extent . Accordingly, the author have done a lot of profile design work focus on the exploitation of the new scroll profile, under the direction of the Li Chao professor . The'paper mainly involved in the following research content .Firstly, the author made use of the theory of the equal distance curve in the differential geometry, analyzed the two kinds of combination profile , and concluded the general traits of the conjugated profile of the scroll compressor. The two kinds of the combination profile were studied . In the first kind of combination profile, the involute of circle is connected by the arc of circle. The second combination profile is made of the involute of circle and high order curve and the arc of circle. Because the arc of circle can make better of available space for displacement, it is selected to form the third part of scroll wrap.Secondly, according to the plane curve theory, the general expression and parameter equation of the new type combination profile were listed. Besides, the author studied the restriction equation in the transition points and summarized the general solving approaches. On the basis of researching profile, the author generalized the general equation of the any scroll profile, which may consist of the common single scroll profile and combination profile, and gave the detailed solving process of the restriction equation. And accomplished the calculation of the general geometry theory related the suction volume, compressor volume, and the central pocket.The third emphasis of this paper is focused on the analyses of the framework, studying of the Oldham ring, and other parts of overall machine. Additionally, the author has done the thermodynamic research and dynamic analyses.Finally, the author proposed some valuable researching direction in the profile research and shaped a few new research notion and philosophy.
