Polyaniline Hybrid Capacitor Developed

Soluble doped polyaniline has been sythesised by emultion polymerization-extraction method, at the same time, the best action and extraction condition has been summarized. Moreover, the study on codope method and secondary dope method have been carried on at the base of it. Polyaniline powder and the polyaniline solution extracted by chloroform has been prepared in the process. The obtained polyaniline was characterized by FT-IR spectra, UV-Vis spectra, TGA and XRD. A new type of aluminium electrolytic capacitor, which is called polyaniline mixed capacitor, that using both liquid electrolyte and soluble conducting polyaniline has been developed. The manufacturing technology and the characteristics of the mixed capacitor hav been studied.It has been found that the dodecylbenzenesulphonic(DBSA) dope polyaniline that prepared by emultion polymerization-extraction method possessed a good solubility. The method of codope can make polianiline not only keep good solubility, but also get higher conductivity and thermal stability. The secondary dope method can markedly advance the conductivity of doped polyaniline, moreover the good conductivity can be kept. The mixed capacitor with exellent characteristics can be prepared by dipping the polyaniline solution extracted by chloroform and using liquid electrolyte to do twice aging at the same time. Compared with the conventional aluminium electrolytic capacitor, the polyaniline mixed capacitor not only possessed low impedance-high freqency characteristics, but also get flat temperature characteristics. Moerover, it has lower leakage current than solid polymer capacitors and has good working stability.
