With the development of control technique in power system, Automatic Generation Control (AGC) has became one of the basic techniques of running control of modern power network, and become a important part of energy management system(EMS). Paper researched on the basic theory and control process of AGC, and analyzed the relationship between load changing and system modulation object of AGC. Paper presented a method that conform lowest demand of real-time AGC modulation capacity by analyzing load changing using real-time data. Based on the analysis of control strategy of AGC, paper presented AGC control strategy about daily electric quantity balance, and simulated using the running data of a part of generations of Jiangsu power network . the results revealed that the strategy can resolved contract electric quantity default because of the modulation of AGC very well. Paper made a primary research on real generation output optimize . To solute single fault which is popular in power system .paper presented a quick algorithm of real generation output optimize in particular conditions , and simulated using the data of Jiangsu power network, the results revealed that the algorithm can optimize the generations output correctly and quickly.
