In order to make the generating set operators and the administrative staff real-time acquire the whole energy conversion process from input, conversion and output , investigate the main productive process energy consumption status and energy-saving potential of the power plant, this paper deeply researches the on-line productive process energy balance and energy evaluation firstly. In this paper, the principle of system engineering was used to research the real-time total energy balance and evaluation modeling. The whole Mathematic Modeling and the layer Mathematic Modeling analysis theory was used to perform the whole power plants productive process energy input, conversion, output and loss diagnosis. Based on the modulization analysis theory is proposed, working pair balance model is divided into economizer-drum(water wall)-superheater model, steam turbine feed-exhaust steam model, condenser model, low-pressure heater model, deaerator model, high-pressure heater model, which is system analysised; energy balance model is divided into fuel balance model, thermal balance model, electrical energy balance model. In this paper, the recycled heat potential of hot air is analyzed on the basis of present status of hot air in high-temperature area of 4# boiler in Beilun power plant in Zhejiang. A novel feasibility program is proposed and furthermore, the hot air recycled unit is developed. The two pipe arrangement plans as well as recycled heat and coal conservation are given below. This paper points out the issue of too large boiler thermal loss in the power plant. With that unit, the temperature of combustor and side wall flame observation platform could be lowered so that the operation environment is improved. On the other hand, the economical efficiency all over the plant is increased. Target of safety, economy and long-term steady performance is reached.
