Chinese traditional garden has a good feme "the mother of the gardener" over the world, but nowadays, all the landscape architecture is more and more like the western garden style. So, most professional architectures set to study the traditional garden. Though the former form of it's style is not fit for in nowadays. Chinese need it's native culture-traditional garden, thus to master the former architecture's way is of a need.Different garden style means different ways of study. As to plant landscape Chinese former study way — "Learn from the nature" give us a good example. This article analyzed the difference of western gardener's way of study and that of Chinese gardener's; how the western way of study in the end affected Chinese garden style; the history of "learn from the nature"; Point out it's necessary; Found the theory of study way of plant landscape based on Philosophy, Art, Science, emphasized based on the process of study from the nature. Provide the way indirect (secondhand) study from the plant landscape and paint literacy, direct study from the nature — the country scenic. Through research, survey, analyze, exam, etc methods to learn from the nature.This article set up a new study way of plant landscape major; assist the professional gardeners to design more Chinese native character gardens.
