Guidance system is the most important part of modern high precision guided weapons. Because of its high sensitivity, strong anti-jamming capability and good concealment character, infrared imaging guidance has become the main trend and direction for current development and study of precision guidance technologies worldwide.On the basis of image processing system of infrared seeker, this thesis has made particular studies on various aspects such as preprocessing of infrared images, point target detection, target recognition and target tracking.Firstly based on the analysis of infrared radiant characteristic of target, background clutter and noise, the algorithm of point target detection is discussed particularly which focused on using preprocess to suppress low frequency background, threshold to remove noise and image sequences to detect target. Secondly according to target recognition system, this thesis extracts features after image segmentation and edge detection, uses BP net as recognition method. Experimental results prove the validity of this algorithm. Thirdly in the target tracking part, this thesis discusses various aspects such as the algorithm of tracking, predictor and filter, the position and size of gate and the control of tracking. Finally the total image processing algorithm of infrared seeker is analyzed in detail.
