The development and study of engine electronic control technology is paid more and more attention. Electronics is regarded as one of the most important method to reduce the exhaust emissions and improve the power and economy performance. To get the best control parameters and find the control strategy of the engine, a large amount of matching experiments between electronic control unit and engine should be done. To finish this work, a calibration system is needed.Based on studies of the calibration system of electronic control engines, the author put forward a calibration system based on dual port RAM and serial communication, which emphasis is the hardware and software design and it's function testify. In this system the PC can modify the control parameters through the communication unit and receive state parameters of the engine and show them on screen in time. The communication unit adopt a dual port RAM is used in the system, it act as a bridge of electronic control unit and PC, through it the system can modify control data online with high speed and reliability. The function modularization is used in software design of the system to simplify the later expansion and transplantation of the system. The matching experiment is done by applying the system in the 495 gasoline engine. The results of experiment indicate the system can attain expected function and fulfill the optimization and matching test between electronic confrol mat and engine effectively.
