By analyzing the situation of Power Quality Monitor home and abroad, aiming at the problems being failed across during monitoring electric systems, Power Quality Monitoring system based on VI is developed using LABVIEW in this thesis.The basic problems of modern power quality are outlined in my paper, firstly makes a description on the definition and classification of power quality, then my paper mainly study the algorithm of monitoring voltage deviation, frequency deviation, flicker, harmonics and unsymmetrical voltage. Power Quality Monitor based on VI can monitor those indies.Introduces construction of Power Quality Monitoring System Based on VI, including its basic architecture , hardware and software design .This paper discusses real time measurement of power harmonic and analyzes the factors influencing power harmonic measurement and realization methods of real time measurement. Utilizing the powerful virtual instrument designing performance of LabVIEW, the software algorithm uses FFT using windows method.The voltage flicker is one of the indices of power quality , based on the vitual instrument, this paper presents an online monitoring system of power quality. Through sampling the voltage, this instrument furnishes the instantaneous flicker level and other severity coefficients. Results of experiment and actual data are reported to validate the performances of the developed flicker measurement module according to the .latest standard specifications.With the virtual instrument technology as the platform, a web-based power quality monitoring system is developed. The dynamic transmission of monitoring data is realized through the DataSocket technology and a web-based virtual intrument system is set up in the Web/Browser mode. Byusing Internet exploration, the power quality in the remote monitoring of DataSocket technology are introduced.Many data of the Power Quality Monitoring and Analyzing System are saved by database includeing the local database and distant database. This paper realizes the local database using MicroSoftware Access, and realizes the distant database using the DataSocket technology to transmit monitoring data dynamically. We can access the database by the LabVIEW SQL Toolkit.Combining the hardware and software and with the help of data-acquiring card , the real-time collection of power system voltage and monitoring is completed. It is suitable for three - phase power quality online measurement. It implements the functions of automatic long-term operation , real-time measurement and analysis,, and management of historic data. Compared with the traditional analyzer, it has the advantages of easy control, enhanced processing ability and graphics output.
