Ship-repaired is a major part of shipping industry, a necessary logistic Technical guaranty for shipping, and of international. It's regarded important in many developed countries and areas in shipping industry and many main ports, even supporting enterprises in some countries.It is a mature technique as the research of the high-power marine diesel repairing was done by foreign countries 40 years ago. Our country started to learn this advanced specialization of repairing in this field from abroad later on 1980's. Up to now, our level of marine diesel engine repairing is about the same as that of the abroad by assimilation and improvement for years. Along with the development of the ship-repaired technology, people pay much more attention to the professional repairing for the marine diesel engine parts. Therefore, specialized workshops are set up in main ports and ship-repaired centers.In this paper, the author researches and analyzes the specialization of repairing for marine diesel engine in the aspect of piston crown, cylinder cover, cylinder liner, exhaust vaive spindle and crankshaft respectively. It is divided into 6 characters: 1. This paper describes the construction and function of the key parts of marine diesel engine and pinpoints the common problems appeared on the above mentioned key parts. 2. The methods of new material reconditioning and the groove chrome-plated are adopted on burnt-down piston crown. At the same time, the surface of piston ring is treated by lon-Carbonnitriding. It is shown that the hardness and wear-resistance of piston ring were considerably improved. 3. The cylinder cover as the fixed part of marine diesel engine being received by mechanical and heat stress are resulted in the cracks on the combustion face and starting valve hole on the cover. Some examples of MAN KSA type cover are taken to analyze mental-locked repairing method and SULZER RT/RL cover for Calotte reconditioned method. 4. The research on the prediction of marine diesel cylinder's wear is conducted and the grey prediction method is put forward in this paper, the principles to establishgrey prediction model and the Evaluation method of the model's precision are introduced by the author, an example is given out at last. 5. The bugs of gas cavity for the plasma spray welding process of exhaust valve were analyzed. The measures for improving the quality of exhaust valves were brought forward. 6. The paper expounds in detail the major causes leading to cracks of heave crankshaft and gives some advices on renovation. Meanwhile, based on the analysis and exploration of the technical difficult points and technique scheme of the renovation and strengthening of the heavy crankshaft and its physical, mechanical function after such a renovation.
