As for the engine, research on how to improve the piston ring and cylinder liner sealingperformance, that is, to improve engine power, has very important research value to reducethe engine emissions.When the ability of piston ring and cylinder liner seal was damaged, cylinder liner andpiston ring friction pair will lose its basic function, and then the engine power is reduced, andincreased pollutant emissions, engine blow-by, rapid surge phenomenon will occurredimmediately, that is to say for the engine, its output power decreases.Based on the development status of piston ring and cylinder liner for the foundation,piston ring sealing mechanism of cylinder sleeve and the sealing effect of judgment, and asthe key role in further research on sealing performance gap to lay the understructure. Theclearance and other factors the mathematical model of piston ring and cylinder liner gas sealflow is established, and the model is calculated, so that the pressure—time curve graph theorystate seal. Article combined with practical example, the difference analysis of the graphtheoretical curve and practice, preliminary analysis of the sealing performance of the cylinderchanges of deformation conditions. At last, thesis analyses and predicate the gasflow impact sealing property, ideas of piston ring and cylinder liner seal on the mathematicalmodel of future production practice has played a key role, and other related areas extending tothe engine study (including the application of finite element method etc.).Finally, the expected result is basically capable of forming a piston ring-cylinder linersealing’s theory related to numerical analysis model, provide specific assurance to design andproduction, manufacture inspection and repair replacement, and improve productionefficiency.
