This paper regards xinjiang(Beijiang) saline soil that is in the road of Kalamayi to Yushugou as the research object ,makes a better systemaic analys and study to physical and mechanical behavior through laboratory routine test. In the test about saline soil collapsibility, uses both single-track method and bilinear method to carry out monaxial compression test,In the test about shear strength, uses triaxial shear and direct shear.Through contrasting and analyzing the experimental results from the tests, summarizes the regularity of collapsing deformation and shear strength index changes with the degree of saturation salt and stress, and describes the collapsing deformation properties of the saline soil in the varied courses .Finally, discusses the influence of frost and thaw cycles to water moving the density and the shear strengths .the test shows that frost and thaw cycles strongly affect mechanical behavior of saline soil ,especily to the surface of soil, and shows the more influence to clay than to silt soil.
