Taking the over-wet loess subgrade construction of advanced-grade highway in Shaanxi province as an example, the paper systematically issues about the features of natural loess with richer water, lower intensity and larger compressibility, and the treatment of subgrade with loess as the material. The main points are summed up as the following:(1) Investigates and tests the geographical structure and physical force characteristics of over-wet loess subgrade in Shaanxi province.(2) Studies treatment and subsidence regulation of over-wet loess subgrade in Xian-Yanliang highway construction process.(3) Brings forward the analysis and calculation means about the subsidence of over-wet loess subgrade.(4) Based on the relative tests and theory researches, evaluates the prevention and cure measurements of the over-wet loess subgrade stability in advanced-grade highway construction; Studies the advantages, disadvantages and application conditions of the prevention and cure measurements.
