Nowadays, it is a domestic and international research focus that the BAS technology and the harmonic suppression technology. As to the hazard, the harmful effects and comprehensive treatment problems of harmonic and reactive of BAS power supply, many scholars have noticed, but they have not thought much of it. This article studies a new method of comprehensive treatment to the subject of harmonic and reactive compensation in distribution system of intelligent buildings.(l)By studying and analyzing the load of intelligent buildings, the paper gives the main characteristics of the load, and Points out the reason, hazard and harmful effects of harmonic and reactive;At the same time this Paper summarizes the actuality of harmonic suppression and reactive compensation and comprehensive treatment of harmonic and reactive in power supply and distribution system, and points out the problems existing.(2)Through the generalization of the development history, research actuality and technology progression of the active power filter(APF) , and classifying APF according to the voltage grade and speed of response, topology of circuit and compensating system parameters of it. After researching its application and analyzing its Performance , this paper draws an important conclusion: for the system whose Power 15 less than lOOkVA, using the single-Phase low Powered APF 15 appropriate;for the unbalanced three Phase system, adopting three single-Phase APF 15 more suitable than adopting a three-Phase APF;And it will be more favorable to comprehensive compensate harmonic and reactive Power with series-Parallel connection APF.(3)This Paper analyzed the function of harmonic currents about Parallel connection capacitor to Power system. And analyzed the harmonic currents effect on "Y" or "triangle" connection.(4) There are three technologies to improve the Power quality of the Power supply system, which are the Passive Power filter, the active Power filter and the hybrid active Power filter technique. Comparing with the Passive Power filtertechnique, the active Power filter technique has such merits as it little be affected by the impedance of the Power supply system transmission network, and it also can dynamically track and synthetically compensate the Power quality of the Power supply system. Hence, the active Power filter technique is the main technique to improve the Power quality of the Power supply system. To employ the active Power filter is not economical because it needs corresponding large Power active Power filter to improve the Power quality of the Power supply system. Therefore, a software is studied which is to not only well improve the Power quality of the Power supply system and also reduce investment outlay.(4) The Effectiveness of the software was demonstrated by site example of a distribution system.
