Dig Into The Harbor Basin "water Siltation Law Pilot Study

Based on the analyses of the previous research findings, this article discusses the rules of sediment in the excavated harbor basin under intake in tidal area by use of model test. First the paper analyses the varieties of flow in the excavated harbor basin under intake, then analyses the rules of the distributing of sediment and the siltation quantity in the excavated harbor basin under intake. According the examination findings, a calculation formula for the siltation of sediment in the intake excavated harbor basin is put forward. The formula is verified by the examination findings of Shandong Haiyang nuclear plant model. There is a little warp between the calculated results and the examination findings, but the calculated results reflect the rules ofsediment in the intake excavated harbor basin.
