Erosion destruction of outlet works is a very important problem among hydraulic structure mending we are facing. Epoxy resin mortar is of common lamella repair material and has high binding strength and strong erosion—resisting merits. With the development of hydraulic construction ;many high head plants have been constructed and so that the technology approach of epoxy resin mortar should be improved to satisfy the demands of engineering practice.According to the problems exposed on the construction practice of epoxy resin mortar; This paper analyzed the technology way of improving epoxy resin mortar performance and concluded that both flexibility modifier of epoxy resin solidify system and appropriate filler proportion are two practical methods of improving epoxy resin mortar erosion performance. So the general steps as follows have been done:Firstly; the rupture toughness experiment of epoxy resin was been done to select the better cure system.Secondly; concerning epoxy resin mortar erosion performance; orthogonal test indicated that the content of flexibility agent the rate of filler the content of grinding aids and velocity of flow are very prominence to the erosion performance of epoxy resin mortar.Finally; depending on the conclusions of orthogonal test; a kind of high abrasion resistance epoxy resin mortar------HD-EP was proposed.Through rupture toughness test; conclusions are as follows:Adding QS flexibility agent could improve the rupture toughness and tensile stress of the EP epoxy resin; the scanning electron microscope shows that epoxy resin cure system forms "Island Structure".Conclusions from orthogonal test are as follows:The content of flexibility agent the rate of filler; the content of grinding aids and velocity of flow are very prominence to the erosion performance of epoxy resin mortar. Adding flexibility agent could improve the rupture toughness of the epoxy resin; but the rupture toughness could reduce the happen rate of microcrack; and reduce the specific abrasion of epoxy resin mortar. So toughness is an important factor to the epoxy resin mortar's resistance to abrasion. And at the same time; filler rate's variation could affect resistance to abrasion .At the same time; the variation of filler rate could affect resistance to abrasion of epoxy resin mortar deeply. Above all; proper proportion of befitting filler rate is an important aspect to high abrasion resistance epoxy resin mortar.
