In this article, the author discuss the method of the bearing capacity of foundation in red-layer soft rock,by analysizing phycial mechanics of red-layer soft rock, and the characteristic of caculational model about the cernformatin bearing capacity of foundation in soft rock at present,and describing the main factors that affect the bearing capacity of foundation in red-layers soft rock, and combining with the newest stuty about the bearing capacity of foundation in red-layers soft rock, at the same time taking the bearing capacity of foundation in Changsha's red-layers soft rock for example.And the probabilistic method is firstly used to analysize the relationship between critical edge pressure and elasticity modulus of the pressuremeter test's data,which obtains the experience formula, then make up the limiting pressure of the pressuremeter which will not obtain the realy critical edge pressure of soft rock. On thi basis , the vertical bearing of piles socketed in soft rock is discussed that is more pobular building's foundation that used in Changsha in present.The caculational model of the best socket length is obtained by summarizing the characteristic of the test's data of the vertical bearing of piles socketed in soft rock at present,and analysizing the main factors that affect the vertical bearing of piles socketed in soft rock, and combining with engineering exampale.This will provide the theroy basis for optimizing design of the pile socketed in soft rock.
