In this article, a performance research and experimental analysis on compound parabolic concentrator (CPC) were developed.Firstly, the solar radiation model was presented. A comparison between two solar radiation models was done. The CPC's obliquity and the absorber's solar radiation intensity were computed based on the model. These work which had finished before were preparations for the later experiment. The calculating process of energy, collector's thermal loss coefficient, exporting temperature for CPCs used in large-scale solar system was developed. Then, an example of the research on matching of CPCs in solar water heating system was showed. Compared with other two familiar general energy water-heaters, CPC water-heater was more economical.Secondly, the phenomena analyzing of the rays inside the CPC used Raytrace Method was done and a new analyzing method which used Monte Carlo Method was developed. An improved design based on the absorber's hot spot problem which was discovered in the Raytrace analysis was put forward. At last, a compound parabolic concentrator with flat absorber was designed and the experimental facility was set up. The experimental investigation of the flat absorber's temperature numerical dispersions and influential factors had been performed. Analyzing results would be helpful for further study of temperature dispersions on the CPC's absorber. |
