Automobile, acts as the modern vehicle, brings a great deal of convenience to our daily life, at the same time, it also exposes us to some danger. Every year the number of victims in car accidents precedes that of local war of the world. Traffic accident not only causes enormous economic losing, but also many social problems, such as the increasing of disabled people and family misfortune. From this point of view, traffic accident has become one of the most severe social effects. Today, strictly crash safety statutes were established in main Automobile industry all over the world and Automobile products must satisfy with the statutes. The first whole car crash safety statute of our county was compiled in Sep. 1989, in which 38 compulsory requirements about car crash safety were proposed. January 1, 2000, CMVDR294 was brought into effect. It requires the automobiles cataloged after Oct. 1999 must satisfy the requirement of the statute, and those could not achieve must be structural improved before Jul.1, 2002 or the manufacture would be halted. So the research about car safety, the improvement of vehicle crashworthiness and the reduction of dead ratio of car accident has become the most important problem of our automobile industry and also the urgent task of car manufactures.In this thesis, some developed countries' statutes about crash safety were expatiated;difference in each country of crash safety was analyzed. Then our country's crash safety statute was compared with them.Then, author created CAD model, and simplified the model. At last, according to the model, the car's FEA was built. Following, the car crashed rigid wall at velocity of the 48 km/h, then acceleration analysis , distortion analysis , stress analysis of the whole car were carried on, the same time distortion analysis , stress analysis , energy absorption of the longitudinal beam also were carried on. After analyzed, progress improvements was brought forward, and according tothese, simulation and analysis were carried on again. The improved result was useful, and satisfying the crash safety statutes. Then velocity of the 56km/h was put on the improved model, so as to enhance intensity, result of simulation indicated that targets about crashworthiness became increscent, but the result can basically satisfied the crash safety statutes.Contrasted related literatures, in the thesis the simplification model is a fundamental accurate, its result of analysis is also fundamental accurate, matching basic regulation of numerical simulation of the crashworthiness.In this thesis, ANSYS/LS-Dm^ ETA/FEMB, etc, which belongs to the highly nonlinear finite element software, is applied in the numerical simulation analysis for the whole car frontal crash. The rules and laws shown in the numerical simulation analysis and in the results of calculations have been summarized, crashworthiness was obviously improved. At the end of the thesis, achievement and shortage in the thesis were put forward.
