Although the soft ground parameters value determination is laboratory soil test or in-situ test, it has great degree of the perturbation and erroneous, which will make a big problem to estimate the settlement of soft base. So, it is important to have a accurate and conveniently way to determine the soft clay ground parameters value. It is helpful to solve these problems by combining Genetic Algorithm with back-analysis method, and has great significance to Geotechnical numerical method research and the monitor work.First, this article couples Biot the theory and the Genetic Algorithm, and initially establishes a method which suits for saturated soft soil consolidation back-analysis and distortion forecasting, and also establishes corresponding computer program.Problems such as the fitness vibrating, a great deal of individual "inbreeding", this article adopts the "Elitist Strategy" and niche technology, and gets better result.Furthermore, this article carries on soft soil consolidation back-analysis by 6 models, it is aim to find out the influence to back-analysis by different models. It is indicated that the consolidation back-analysis method which this article proposes don't rely on the choice of model. The calculated results are quite approach with each other.Then, this article studies the influence by changing the position of measuring point, and gives the instruction comments to saturated soft soil ground back-analysis for monitor work. The calculated results prove that the method this article proposes is accurate.Finally, this article uses two projects examples data to carry on the back-analysis, Comparing the intelligent method based on Genetic Algorithm with traditional method based on Conjugate Gradient. The results indicate that the method this article proposes is better, and the results tally with the rule which consolidation process goes on. This article method instead analyzes the nature of the soil parameter also tallies inthe whole along with the rule which solidifies carries on changes, and forecasts displacement using the calculated parameters. The error is smaller between calculated displacement and actual displacement. It is proved that saturated soft soil consolidation back-analysis method which this article proposes is quite successful and effective.The soft soil ground parameter value is important to design and construction. Comparing with laboratory soil test, in-situ test and traditional back-analysis method, the saturated soft soil consolidation back-analysis method which this article proposes is more convenient and exact. It will be developed on Geotechnical engineering numerical analysis and project applications in the future.
