With the development of computer, more and more general purpose finite element software are transplanted to PC. Overseas commercial FE software, such as MSC/Nastran MSC/Patran Ansys Abquas and Marc, is in the highest flight in domestic FE software mart. Compared with other FE software, ABAQUS is competent in the coupling of solid and liquid, and fit for stress analysis of the nonlinear geotechnical material particularly, so ABAQUS has great development potential and application value in geotechnical domain.Presently, ABAQUS is not to applied on numerical analysis of soft soil. Therefore, Based on the open-module in ABAQUS which is an advanced nonlinear FE analysis implement for general purpose, the author codes the subroutine of Duncan-Chang constitutive model and apply it to accomplish two-dimension FEA for surcharge preloading of the practical soft soil foundation. The major contents in the thesis as follows:1 For simplicity and practicality, Duncan-Chang constitutive model is adopted and modified to take consider into the middle major-stress.2, The thesis particularly describes the redevelopment module of ABAQUS software as a development platform and propose the modification methods and steps about Duncan-Chang constitutive model. The theory results are compared with the typical triaxial compression test data and the theory results of Duncan-Chang constitutive model, it shows the redevelopment is successful.3 The FE-computation not only takes account of the practical constructing course, but also considers the effect of vertical drainage wells. The author sums up the method of disposing sand-well and establishes reasonable model in simulation.4 The redevelopment program is used to analyze the surcharge preloading process of the Jing-zhu highway foundation, all results consist with practical data and further these indicate the redevelopment program are capable of solving practical problems.All the schemes proposed in this thesis enrich the material library in ABAQUS and expand the use range of software, further all these show ABAQUS has application foreground in geotechnical engineering and is a useful reference to redevelopment and application of other software in the domain.
