Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor (PM LSM) is nowadays widelyused in maglev train system, and the speed/route close loop controlled drivetechnology is the key of whole maglev train system. The main purpose of this paper isto reaseach on the direct thrust control for LPMSM which is called direct thrust torquecontrol in rotated machine drive.The electrical parameters are needed to realize direct thrust control. Firstly, theparameters detection is completed based on the analysis of the mechanical structure ofthe PM LSM. Secondly, the direct thrust control theory for PM LSM is analyzed, andthe mathematic mode of the drive system is built with MATLAB/SIMULINKsoftware package. The simulation results verified the control strategy proposed.Thirdly, the full-digital direct thrust control for PM LSM is realized, and theexperiment result shows good speed/route close loop control effect.Sensorless technology is a hot issue in electrical field. In this papar, severaltypical senroless technologies have been deeply analyzed, and some improvementsare given in accord with the demands in practice.
