| The tamping pick is an wear-prone parts used in the large-scale roadmaintaining machinery——temping stopfexpress. The homemade tamping pickonly can be good for working of 12 kilometers, so most of tamping picks depend on importation, that makes the use-cost too high. Normally, it is formed by forging the whole semi-finished product or casting, and then hardfacing wearable alloy on the wearing parts. In recent years, oversea manufacturer inlay with cemented carbide or wearable metal onto the wearing parts of tamping pick, that greatly improve the service life of it.Basing on the actuality of temping pick both home and abroad, in order to prolong its service life, cut its use-cost, this paper expatiating on the subject—how to weld the wearable shoe on the surface of the wearing parts, analyzing and comparing several designs for this special 'shoe' , establishing a reasonable technical line, also establishing the working process for manufacturing this kind of 'shoe' accordingly.With the rapid development of numerical simulation of plastic working, the Finite Element(FE)simulation gradually replaces conventional method-which all depends on experience and many times of trying for making working process and designing of die. In order to verify the rationality and the feasibility of the design at the beginning time, this paper analysis the forming process of the wearable shoe by the coupled thermo-mechanical Finite Element method(FEM).Using the coupled thermo-mechanical FEM to analysis the forming process of the wearable shoe, we obtain a loading curve which can reflect the internal stress, strain, rules of metal flow, also find that there would be some folding defect during die designing which would make the forging forming stress higher. After adjusting the technical process and mould, no-defect design on the computer simulation been come true. |
